Taste of Zagreb
Day 01 ZAGREB arrival
plate of strukli and glass of wine (strukli = baked pastry with a cottage cheese filling topped with sweet cream). Afternoon walking city tour will include Zrinjevac Park with
Art Pavilion, Ban Jelacic Square, Kaptol Square with Cathedral of st. Stephen, picturesque Dolac open air market, Tkalciceva street, the Stone Gate, st. Mark’s Square with church of st. Mark, Parliament and Government buildings. The tour will end in front of the
Lotrscak tower with the funicular ride to the Ilica street. We will prepare a list of carefully selected local restaurants for dinner. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 ZAGREB - JASKA - SAMOBOR - ZAGREB
The late morning is perfect to leave the city and take a
wine tasting tour on the neighboring Jaska Hills. The first stop is a family wine property – the first Croatian producer of
sparkling wine. Afterwards visit another family wine property where you can find out more about one of the most rewarde Croatian wines. The tour will end in the small and romantic suburban town of
Samobor where you can take a short walk and taste a the famous
kremsnite (Samobor cream-cake) before return to Zagreb. There is no better way to end the perfect day but to take the gourmet tasting menu at a restaurant placed on the main city square. Overnight at chosen hotel.
Day 03 ZAGREB departure
There is just one hustling and bustling place in Zagreb on Sunday mornings – the picturesque
Dolac open air market, just a step away from the main square. If your flight schedule allows, use the opportunity to buy a fresh seasonal fruit or still hot pastry before the private transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
